One thing I want to mention here is that I have found the new 50/1.4 ZE and ZF's to be MUCH softer wide open than my Contax 50/1.4. They cover full frame, are super easy to adapt to many other mounts and never lose their value. Germany vs Japan? Distagon, Planar, Sonnar, Tessar, Biogon and Hologon. D) They are very easy to adapt to EOS mount. Not too sure but it seems likely. See the photo below! The Hasselblad we threw up also seemed to have an uncannily similar T* coating too. Both look awesome, and I think people are splitting hairs.
